In 2008, Peter Samuelson founded Ardeo Education Solutions to increase access to the life-changing power of higher education through LRAPs. The inspiration for LRAP came from a program created at Yale Law School in the late 1980s. Yale's administrators, realized the price tag of law school was causing many prospective students to worry about loan repayment and their career options. They created a program that provided post-graduate financial security to students interested in public service and other lower-paying positions. After graduating from Yale and benefiting from their loan repayment assistance program, Peter Samuelson realized this program's potential to help both undergraduate students and institutions across the country. Peter established Ardeo Education Solutions in 2008, bringing Yandle and other industry experts on to the Ardeo Advisory Board to help shape the future of an organization that would forever change how students, families, and institutional leaders would think about the affordability of higher education.
